Our Seamless Journey from London to Rome with Airportr
Travel days with kids can be stressful, especially when they involve navigating busy airports with heavy luggage in tow. Recently, we decided to test out Airportr's baggage transfer service for our trip from London to Rome, and we were pleasantly surprised by how much it simplified our journey!
What is Airportr?
Airportr is a technology platform that allows passengers to have their bags picked up from homes and hotels and delivered to the destination airport! This allows you to travel baggage-free, bypassing the usual check in queues at the airport. The service is available in several major cities and airports, including London, making it a perfect choice for our trip to Rome!
Booking the Service
The booking process was straightforward. I went on the Airportr website, entered our travel details and selected a pick-up time for the driver to come over. We chose a slot that worked best for us, and a confirmation email quickly followed with detailed instructions on what to expect.
Pick-Up Day
On the day of our flight, the Airportr driver arrived at our home right on time. The representative checked our passports and flight details before taking our suitcases away!
Travel Day
With our luggage taken care of, we set off for Gatwick Airport with just our carry-on bags and went straight to security! Such a nice change to not have to queue at the check in desk.
And as soon as we arrived in Rome Fiumicino Airport, our luggage was waiting for us at the baggage claim area.
For us, being able to take the stress of carrying big suitcases out of our travel day made a massive difference!
